Our young people had a brilliant introduction to the word of advertising last week, thanks to the team at JWT.

Having started the day with a delicious Drive Forward cooked breakfast (you can’t go to work without a decent breakfast) we set off for the offices of JWT.  We were given a really informative tour of all the floors and departments in the agency (planning, strategy, finance, creative); the creative department was particularly funky! After a challenging icebreaker – building the highest possible wall using just sellotape, pasta and marshmallows – we were introduced to the brief, which was the main focus of the day. Our young people were set the task of creating a brilliant ad campaign for pressed juice. Members of the JWT team from the Creative, Planning, Production and Account Management departments delivered presentations about their respective jobs, each of them giving advice surrounding the brief to get the young people thinking in the right way. They were then split into small teams to work on their campaigns, which they then had to pitch to their peers and the JWT team.

The day involved a lot of teamwork and creativity, and was a great introduction to the trendy world of advertising! You can see more photos here.
